About Mathis Humbert
Mathis Humbert is a self-taught creative developer, front-end developer and design engineer based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He works as a creative developer at Locomotive, an independent digital agency, and runs his own freelance practice, building websites for agencies, startups and companies worldwide.
What he does
Mathis turns design into pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces. His work focuses on the parts of a website that make it feel crafted: interactive animation and motion, custom scroll and page transitions, and immersive 3D and WebGL experiences built with Three.js and GLSL shaders. He treats web performance and accessibility as part of the craft, not an afterthought, so ambitious visuals still load fast and stay usable.
He usually works hand in hand with designers and studios, either as a long-term development partner or on bespoke, one-off projects such as portfolios, gallery and studio websites, brand launches and campaign sites.
